A missing teen from Norfolk County was found in a small town near North Bay on Christmas Eve day, a result Ontario Provincial Police Const. Ed Sanchuk described as the “best Christmas present ever.”
Lily Graves, 14, was reported missing by her family on Nov. 17. Police had said she frequented the Woodstock and Tillsonburg areas.
Instead, she was found “in good health” in Mattawa, a small town of around 2,000 in northern Ontario.
“As a parent, I couldn’t even imagine what this family was going through, so, best Christmas present ever, Lily Patricia Graves is on her way home to see her family,” Sanchuk said in a video posted to social media.
Police said Graves was in the process of being reunited with her mother.
