Plotting to have your parents killed is just cold.
Trying to hire a hitman to bump them off using their own money is, well, ruthless.
Florida teen Alyssa Hatcher allegedly did just that in the hopes of having her parents whacked, withdrawing cash from her parents’ bank account using a stolen debit card, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
Hatcher is accused of withdrawing $500, then another $900, to buy a bit of coke and hire a hitman to do the deed. She allegedly gave $400 to a friend in the hopes of hiring a professional killer then $900 to another man, who didn’t follow through on the hit.
The 17-year-old’s parents got wind of the alleged murder-for-hire plot and pressed charges. Hatcher was arrested Tuesday on two counts of solicitation of murder, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
According to Hatcher’s arrest warrant, her boyfriend met her at a “known drug house” where she filled him in on her alleged plot.
It’s not clear why the girl, who posted a photo to her Instagram account Monday with a one-word caption — “Ruthless” — and a happy-face emoji, wanted her parents killed.
