WATCH THE WAVE: For those who have yet to ‘watch the wave’, the looming September longweekend presents a great chance to take in the Wave Artists’ Studio Tour. The tour is now in its seventh year. It’s basically what is says: a tour of artist studios. The artworks on display range from finely-crafted ornaments to watercolour to pottery to jewellery. And the studios cover a wide geographic area from Stonewall and Lockport north to Arnes and Bifrost. The September long tour runs Sat., Aug. 30, and Sun., Aug. 31. Brochures and maps are available free at area retail outlets. You can also download a wealth of information, including write-ups about artsists and their studios.
